The event may be cancelled without liability for either party if it becomes impossible to hold due to circumstances beyond their control including COVID-19 and/or any of its variants. The following criteria will be considered as grounds for cancellation: More than 10,000 reported infections nationwide in Peru within 8 days prior to the event, or; More than 500 registered deaths due to COVID-19; Red or orange epidemiological alert levels. Other force majeure events that may justify cancellation include natural disasters (such as hurricanes, floods, or earthquakes), government restrictions, fire or explosion, terrorist acts at or near the event venue, mandatory construction works, quarantine or embargo due to legal protest, civil unrest within a 10-kilometer radius of the hotel, partial or total labor bans, and limitations or impossibility of transportation (maritime, air, or land) preventing at least 40% of registered attendees from reaching the event In the event of a cancellation for any of the above reasons, the Inter-American Cement Federation (FICEM) will reschedule the event to a new date within the current or following year. Therefore, companies will not lose any payments or deposits previously made.
